Oral Argument Recordings

With 3,500,217 minutes of audio, our database of oral argument recordings is the largest on the Internet.

Each hour, we gather audio files from the Supreme Court and the Federal Circuit Courts. For many of these courts, we have also gathered everything available on their website, to create the most complete collection possible. We are seeking partnerships with courts to digitize and host the historical content from their archives.

As we gather audio files from court websites, we convert them into enhanced audio files, which we make available in our search engine, alerts, APIs, and podcasts. We also create transcripts for nearly every audio file within minutes after the audio becomes available on court websites, making oral arguments fully searchable and accessible to the deaf and hard of hearing.

This list of supported courts continues to grow as we receive support, code contributions, and requests for additional jurisdictions.
