I can't log in!

Be sure to use your username, not your email address

The number one reason that people cannot log in is because they are trying to log in with their email address instead of their username.

Therefore:

Use your username instead of your email. Often that's all it takes.
If you don't know your username, you can use the reset password page. When you ask for your password to be reset, we will send you an email containing your username.

You may then choose to reset your password or just use the one you already have.

If you receive several emails from CourtListener when resetting your password, this means you have several accounts under your email address. In this case, choose the one you prefer and use it to log in.

If you forgot your password, go ahead and reset it. That should be all it takes.

If you still cannot log in, please contact us for assistance. We can't always help and some accounts just have to be reset, but we'll do our best.
