Will RECAP monitor or share my traffic?

The short answer: Absolutely not. It's just not how Free Law Project operates as a non-profit.

Technical Protections

When you install RECAP, you will grant the extension access to the PACER websites, but no others. This means we have no idea what you're doing when you're not on a PACER website and no way of finding out. That's a technical protection for you that is enforced by your browser.

Many extensions ask for carte blanche access to your browser so they can see all the pages you visit. RECAP doesn't do this. Instead, our approach is to show you the full list of domains we need access to when you install, and to ask for nothing more.

Philosophically, we value your privacy and anonymity, and the RECAP Privacy Policy forbids us from sharing such information.
