Our Merchant Account Descriptors

If you are a donor, funder, or member of Free Law Project, we use the Neon One as our donor platform and financial partner. Neon One uses a processor called Payrix to process credit card and bank transactions.

Banks and card issuers use several data points from a given transaction to determine what to display as the billing descriptor from a transaction, and different card issuers use different mapping systems.

As a result, we do not entirely control what appears on your bank statement.
